YE Live In Jakarta Projected to Draw 15,000 Foreign Tourists

Ye Live in Jakarta

The concert of American rap musician Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is projected to attract more than 15,000 international tourists to Jakarta.

The show, titled “YE Live in Jakarta”, will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event is expected not only to provide entertainment but also to deliver significant economic benefits for businesses in the capital.

Concert promoter Raw Vision Collective explained that fan enthusiasm was evident from the first day of ticket sales.

Buyers came from countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Vietnam, and New Zealand.

On the first day alone, 52.8% of tickets were sold to fans from 73 countries. In addition to bringing thousands of music lovers to Jakarta, the concert is projected to generate broad economic impact, especially for the culinary, accommodation, and transportation sectors in the city.

Immersive Visual Concert

The event has also received support from the Jakarta provincial government. Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said he was proud that Jakarta was chosen as the venue for Ye’s concert.

Jakarta is the only city in Southeast Asia included in Ye’s world tour.

“Jakarta has the honor of hosting Ye’s concert in Southeast Asia and Oceania,” Pramono said.

“What’s exciting — and surprising to me — is that fans are coming from all over the world. In fact, the largest share of overseas ticket buyers is from Australia,” he added.

Pramono also stated that the Jakarta provincial government will help ensure the concert runs smoothly and safely.

The concert coincides with the Jakarta Running Festival, which is expected to draw 35,000 participants.

“To make sure everything is well‑organized, we will coordinate accordingly,” Pramono said.

“YE Live in Jakarta” will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno sports complex in Central Jakarta.

Raw Vision Collective promises audiences a high‑tech immersive experience, featuring high‑resolution visuals, light shows, pyrotechnics, fireworks, dynamic stage design that shifts with the music, and an interactive performance space.

Tickets, first released in July, are still available at yejakarta.com.
