Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair Offering Big Discounts

Garuda Indonesia in collaboration with Bank Mandiri will be holding the Garuda Indonesia Online Travel Fair 2023 (GOTF) from Monday, March 27 to Sunday April 2 and will be offering domestic and international flight ticket promos according to reporting from Kompas.

Flight promos will be available through the official digital channels of the Fly Garuda mobile apps, the Garuda Indonesia website and the contact center and through Garuda Indonesia’s travel and lifestyle platform partners Traveloka, as well as online travel agent Tiket.com.

Kompas report that Garuda Indonesia is also offering ticket discounts of up to 80-percent for flights to various domestic and international destinations as well as an additional discount of up to IDR 2.5-million using a Mandiri card.

There are also special prices for several flight routes served by Garuda Indonesia’s airline partners such as KLM, Air France, Air Europe, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jet Star, Malaysia Airlines and Bangkok Airways. Travel periods are valid until mid-April 2024.

“It is hoped that the implementation of GOTF will not only provide a variety of travel options for the community but will also be able to contribute to accelerating the economic recovery of various regions and cities in Indonesia,” said Garuda Indonesia Main Director Irfan Setiaputra.

Garuda Indonesia passengers will get a variety of offers including discounts of up to 80-percent for purchasing pre-paid baggage and excess baggage and the opportunity to get a Wuling Alvez car for customers with the most ticket purchases during the GOTF programme.

Kompas report that a number of special offers for flight ticket prices at the 2023 GOTF event include:

  • Jakarta-Medan round trip starting from IDR 1.8-million
  • Jakarta-Surabaya round trip starting from IDR 1.2-million
  • Jakarta-Denpasar round trip starting from IDR 1.5-million
  • Jakarta-Labuan Bajo starting from IDR 1.8-million
  • Jakarta-Pontianak starting from IDR 1.3-million

Several international routes include:

  • Jakarta-Singapore round trip starting from IDR 2.1-million
  • Jakarta-Bangkok round trip starting from IDR 3.1-million
  • Jakarta-Sydney round trip starting from IDR 5.7-million
  • Jakarta-Tokyo round trip starting from IDR 8.6-million
  • Jakarta-Hong Kong starting from IDR 3.1-million

GarudaMiles members will also get offers including a total welcome bonus of up to 2023 miles for new members who register for GarudaMiles membership during the GOTF period.

“Then, the opportunity to get Miles Back is 20-percent for GarudaMiles members who exchange miles into a GA award ticket via the Fly Garuda application and the Garuda Indonesia website during the GOTF period. As well as getting the Special GarudaMiles Gold Privilege Offer starting from IDR 3.99 million,” said Irfan.

Ridwan Jasin Zachrie

Ridwan is one of Indonesia’s top executives with a long and illustrious career in the financial world. He holds several professional certifications including being a Certified Business Valuer (CBV) issued by the Australian Academy of Finance and Management; Broker-Dealer Representative (WPPE); and The Directorship Certification for Directors and Commissioners, issued by the Indonesian Institute of Commissioners and Directors.

His experience includes being the Managing Director at one of the top investment banking groups in the region, the Recapital Group, the CFO at State-owned enterprises in fishery industry and the CEO at Tanri Abeng & Son Holding. He’s also been an Independent Commissioner in several Financial Service companies and on the Audit and Risk Committee at Bank BTPN Tbk, Berau Coal Energy Tbk, Aetra Air Jakarta as well as working for Citibank, Bank Mandiri and HSBC. His last position was as CFO at PT Citra Putra Mandiri – OSO Group.

Per Fredrik Ecker

Per is the Managing Director of the Seven Stones Indonesia (SSI) Jakarta office and has more than 25-years’ experience in Indonesia, China, and Western Europe. He previously worked in senior management positions with Q-Free ASA, Siemens AG, and other companies in the telecom sector. Over the last six years, he has been the Chairman of the Indonesia-Norway Business Council (INBC) and recently become elected to be on the board of EuroCham Indonesia.

His most recent experience is within Intelligent Transport Solutions (ITS), Telecom, and other sectors within the Indonesian market. He is today through his position in SSI and by representing Norway Connect, promoting Nordic and European companies that would like to explore business opportunities in the Indonesian market. He’s also playing an active role to help create the Nordic House concept in Jakarta that will provide an excellent platform for Nordic companies entering Indonesia, where they’ll find a community that can offer support with trusted information and affordable services to enter this market.
