Liputan 6 are reporting on a hot topic in Bali right now, with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, continuing to intensively encourage the development of health and wellness tourism destinations in Bali, which he believes has enormous potential.
To realize this plan, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is collaborating with a number of parties, one of which is the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes.)
“Health tourism has great potential, and Bali is now projected to become a leading destination for health tourism. We are overall preparing health tourism destinations with the Indonesian health tourism branding logo,” said Sandiaga Uno, in The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno, at the Sapta Building Pesona, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 28 2022, report Liputan 6.
“In the B20 forum, the plan for the development of Bali as a health-based destination has been socialized with a number of leaders. For this reason, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to collaborate with the Ministry of Health and other institutional ministries,” he continued.
Sandiaga revealed, to realize wellness and health tourism in Bali, so far there have been several health facilities, including several hospitals in Bali that will be developed. Indonesia even plans to cooperate with international institutions from several countries that have advanced health fields, some of which are the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University.
He hopes that through this collaboration, Indonesia, especially health and wellness tourism in Bali, will not only be able to provide opportunities for traditional tourism services and attractions, but also more optimal health services and even the best health tourism destinations, both for Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals who are on vacation in Indonesia.
