Based on the National Council for Special Economic Zones of the Republic of Indonesia, areas that have economic and geographical advantages should be prepared to maximise business opportunities, ranging from industrial, exports, imports and other economic activities that have high economic value.
To date there are 18-Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in Indonesia, with some already operating, while others are still in the development stage.
