Argaam, the Arab world’s leading financial news portal, is reporting that the Saudi government signed today, November 16, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Indonesia for the bilateral cooperation in various energy fields, in an effort to achieve their common aspirations in these areas.
The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean hydrogen, the application of the circular carbon economy and its technologies to reduce the effects of climate change, digital transformation, innovation, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in the energy sector, the Ministry of Energy explained in a statement.
It also entails the exchange of information and experiences in the relevant fields and the arrangement of visits between experts and specialists of the two parties, say Argaam.
This is besides conducting joint studies and working to develop qualitative partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia to localize materials, products and services related to all sectors and supply chains and their technologies, as well as to enhance cooperation between energy companies in the two countries, the ministry added.
