In a report published by Republika and referring to a new survey from Forbes in partnership with research and consulting firm Statista, PT Telkom Indonesia, has made the list of the worlds’ best 800-companies.
To compile this ranking, Republika say that Statista surveyed 150,000 full-time and part-time workers from 57-countries who work for multinational companies and institutions.
The survey was conducted to determine the impact and image of the company, talent development, gender equality, and social responsibility. The results of the survey resulted in a list of the 800-best companies in the world.
At number 153 on the list is State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), PT Telkom Indonesia, which is engaged in information and communication technology services.
Quoted by Forbes, Sunday (11/6/2022), this position beat several leading companies, such as British retail company Tesco, game manufacturer Lego Group, Canon company from Japan, to world-famous media company Walt Disney.
Telkom’s majority shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia with 52.09-percent while the remaining 47.91-percent is controlled by the public. Telkom’s shares are traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with the code “TLKM” and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with the code “TLK”.
Reported by the Telkom website, Telkom currently divides its business into three Digital Business Domains. First, Digital Connectivity: Fiber to the x (FTTx), 5G, Software Defined Networking (SDN)/ Network Function Virtualization (NFV)/ Satellite. Second, Digital Platforms: Data Center, Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data/Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity and finally Digital Services: Enterprise, Consumer.
