Antara News are reporting on the unveiling of Indonesiakini.Go.Id – an aggregator website designed to integrate information from various ministries and institutions and also regional governments into a single website.
Launched by the Communication and Informatics Ministry, Indonesiakini.Go.Id will facilitate people in receiving information from trusted sources related to various policies and programs that the government has implemented and those that it intends to apply.
“We expect that with this website, people can know about the current situation and condition in Indonesia by clicking on a single website,” Ministry’s Public Information and Communication Director General, Usman Kansong, noted, Monday.
“This website makes public communication more integrative and orchestrated in the people’s eyes,” he stated.
Indonesiakini.Go.Id will indubitably respond to the challenge of public communication that should be quick and integrated, he remarked.
The changes in information and communication technology that trigger disruption challenge public information and communication managers in government institutions to communicate with the public in an adaptive manner.
However, not all ministries or institutions have integrated their information within a single platform.
The various types of information coming from government institutions should be collected on a single platform to facilitate people in obtaining information, Kansong noted.
In accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2015 on Public Communication Management, the ministry holds the mandate to coordinate public communication planning, preparation, and implementation in connection with the government’s policies and programs.
The instruction necessitates the ministry to orchestrate the information into a single platform.
The Indonesiakini.Go.Id aggregate site aims to integrate four information channels owned by the Communication and Informatics Ministry.
In addition, it will integrate 37-other ministry websites, seven institution websites, two websites managed by the Presidential Palace, 115-university websites, 34-provincial government websites, 98-municipal government websites, and 416-district government websites.
To this day, Indonesiakini.Go.Id has aggregated 588-ministry, institution, and regional government websites. This figure has reached 79-percent out of the targeted 746-websites.
