President Affirms Commitment Towards Greater Indonesia on Pancasila Day

President Prabowo Subianto, led the Commemoration Ceremony of Pancasila Day 2025, which was held at the Pancasila Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, on Monday (2/6/25.) According to a press release published on the website of The President of The Republic of Indonesia, the ceremony was an important moment to reaffirm the basic values of the state as the nation’s moral compass towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

President Prabowo arrived at the ceremony location and was greeted directly by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia Ahmad Muzani, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi. In addition, hundreds of elementary school students also welcomed him enthusiastically, adding to the lively atmosphere of the commemoration of this historic day.

After receiving a report from the Ceremonial Officer Brigadier General TNI Edi Saputra, President Prabowo as the Ceremony Inspector headed to the main podium. The ceremony began with a National Greeting, a Great Salute, and a Moment of Silence to commemorate the services of the nation’s heroes.

The Chairman of the MPR RI, Ahmad Muzani, read the Pancasila text, followed by the reading of the Opening Manuscript of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia by the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) RI, Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. The ceremony was then continued with the mandate of the Inspector of the Ceremony delivered directly by President Prabowo.

In his speech, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of the spirit of unity in diversity that has been the main strength of the Indonesian nation since Pancasila was first formulated. “Today, we commemorate the Birth of Pancasila as a historic moment and event when the foundation of our country was formulated by the founders of our nation. At that time, a great consensus of the nation was achieved. A great consensus of the nation that we must recognize as a brilliant achievement of the Indonesian nation,” said President Prabowo.

President Prabowo also emphasized the relevance of Pancasila values in facing today’s global challenges. “It turns out that Pancasila is what has allowed us to unite amidst the waves of world dynamics that are so full of uncertainty. The theme of today’s commemoration is ‘Strengthening the Pancasila Ideology Towards a Great Indonesia’. This theme is not only an invitation but is our shared commitment to ensure that the nation’s journey towards 100 years of independence is guided by the values of Pancasila,” he said.

In closing, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti read a prayer, before the ceremony was closed with Andhika Bhayangkari, the final report of the Commander of the Ceremony, and National Greetings.
