A new poll by Indikator Politik Indonesia shows that 77.7% of Indonesians are satisfied with President Prabowo Subianto’s performance during his first year in office. The findings highlight strong public approval for his leadership style, social welfare programs, and anti-corruption efforts.
The nationwide survey was conducted between October 20–27, 2025, with 1,220 respondents from all provinces across Indonesia. The poll used a multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of ±2.9% and a confidence level of 95%. Interviews were conducted face-to-face, and the results were verified through random quality control.
According to Burhanuddin Muhtadi, founder and executive director of Indikator Politik Indonesia, public sentiment toward the president remains largely positive.
“Those who said they were very satisfied or fairly satisfied reached 77.7%, which is quite high,” he said during a live presentation on November 8, 2025.
The survey attributes much of this satisfaction to the government’s social aid programs, including food assistance and direct cash transfers (BLT). These programs have helped reduce economic pressures, particularly among lower-income households.
The Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative, aimed at providing healthy meals for school children, also helped improve Prabowo’s image. Earlier concerns about food poisoning incidents linked to the program have decreased, leading to better public perception.
“Thankfully, cases related to the MBG program have declined, and the program is now viewed more positively,” Burhanuddin added.
Around 19.5% of respondents who expressed satisfaction credited Prabowo’s anti-corruption measures as one of the main reasons for their approval. Others cited his decisive, firm, and courageous leadership style as qualities that build confidence in his presidency.
Public Trust in National Institutions
The same survey also assessed public trust in key national institutions during Prabowo’s first year in office. The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Presidency recorded the highest trust levels, while trust in political institutions such as the DPR and political parties remains relatively low.

As President Prabowo enters his second year, the findings suggest that his administration enjoys strong public confidence. The combination of welfare programs, food security initiatives, and perceived integrity continues to define a positive approval trend, positioning Prabowo among Indonesia’s most well-supported presidents in recent years.
