Immigration Office Holiday Schedule for Eid and Nyepi 2025

The Acting Director-General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Saffar Muhammad Godam, has announced that immigration services across Indonesia will be temporarily closed during the collective holidays for Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi, from March 27 to April 7, 2025.

Godam advised the public to submit applications for passports, visas, residence permits, and other immigration documents before Thursday, March 27, to avoid delays in processing after the holidays.

“The visa system will accept applications until Thursday (March 27), but the last working day before the collective leave and Eid and Nyepi holidays is Wednesday (March 26). Therefore, those with urgent passport matters should complete their applications before Wednesday, March 26,” said Godam in Jakarta on Monday, as reported by Antaranews.com.

For those needing to extend their residence permits, services are available online via evisa.imigrasi.go.id to prevent overstaying. However, officer verification will be processed after the collective holiday.

Visa applications submitted from Thursday, March 27, and during the holiday period will only begin processing on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

“Immigration services will continue operating at full capacity for departure and arrival inspections at immigration checkpoints across Indonesia, including the Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) service,” Godam added.

One-Day Express Passport Service Available Until March 27

Godam also urged those with urgent travel needs to utilize the one-day express passport service before Thursday, March 27. This service is available at all immigration offices and immigration lounges, with a fee of IDR 1,000,000 plus an additional IDR 950,000 for an electronic passport.

However, the one-day express service does not apply to passport replacements due to damage or loss.

Immigration lounges offer document processing services outside immigration offices. Currently, immigration lounges are available at:

  • Pondok Indah Mall 3, South Jakarta
  • Senayan City, Central Jakarta
  • Mal Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta
  • Grand Metropolitan Mall, Bekasi
  • Pesona Square Mall, Depok
  • Ciputra World, Surabaya
  • Icon Mall, Gresik, East Java

Additionally, completed passports should be collected before the holiday period begins. Those with scheduled passport applications after the holiday but still in their hometowns can reschedule via the M-Paspor app.

Emergency Immigration Services During Holidays

For urgent cases such as passport processing for overseas medical treatment or family emergencies (death or illness of immediate family members abroad), the public can contact the nearest immigration office hotline.

“During the holidays, there will be standby officers at immigration offices for emergency services. This service is only for urgent matters and must be supported by valid documents,” said Godam.
