“Pelita Air will fly on September 19, 2024 from Jakarta to Lombok. And this is also one of them to make the event (MotoGP) a success,” said Nia.

Starting September 19, 2024, Pelita Air will open its first flight route to Lombok and the public can now book tickets through the Pelita Air website and mobile application.

The flight schedule for the Jakarta to Lombok (PP) route is Jakarta to Lombok, departing at 06.30 – and arriving at 09.25, and Lombok to  Jakarta, departing at 10.10 – and arriving at 11.05.

Chairman of Indonesia GP 2024, as well as Commercial Director of PT. Indonesian Tourism Development (ITDC), Troy Reza Warokka, explained that the agenda of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP) 2024 will start on September 27 to 28, 2024. However, on September 25, 2024, a Riders Parade will be held in Mataram which will be attended by all MotoGP racers including the top ten racers.

“God willing, until today our preparation has been quite good. We can say that around 80 percent of it is ready and we will complete it at the event on the specified date,” said Troy.

In this MotoGP event, the theme raised is “Spirit of Indonesia,” which not only motivates racers but also promotes Indonesian culture. At the event, there will be performances by Indonesian musicians including Slank, Geisha, Ada Band, Gigi, Ghea Youbi, and DJ Yasmin.

“The most important thing is that we want to highlight Indonesian culture as a result of collaboration with approximately 200 personnel during the opening ceremony. So we want to show that Indonesia, with Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, can provide an interesting and inspiring spectacle,” said Troy.

Regarding accommodation such as flights, it has also received support from Garuda, Citilink, and most recently Pelita. Of course, people who want to watch MotoGP Mandalika need not worry because there are many interesting promos offered. Meanwhile, in terms of accommodation in Mandalika, there are currently many choices available, ranging from star and non-star hotels, villas, to homestays.

“Let’s make this event a success together because this is one of the international events that can lift the economy and tourism sector to soar rapidly. The proof is that it has reached over IDR 3 trillion for the achievement last year,” said Troy.

Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Province Tourism Office, Jamaluddin, added regarding the availability of accommodation, currently in Zone One Mandalika has been booked by MotoGP, Moto Two, MotoTri racers along with their teams, crews, sponsors, mechanics, media, racer families including the MotoGP committee. And their length of stay is also quite long, around 6 to 8 days.

“The occupancy of star hotels, and resorts during the MotoGP event that have booked has reached 90 percent around Mandalika. While around Mataram it is only 50 to 60 percent. And North Lombok Regency around Gili is indeed the market for foreign tourists coming from Bali. In essence, we, the NTB Tourism Office and the NTB Provincial Government are ready to welcome guests who will watch MotoGP,”

The head of the NTB Province tourism office also added “for MotoGP fans who do not get a hotel room around Mandalika, we recommend staying in the cities of Mataram and Senggigi because there are still empty hotel rooms and the prices are much cheaper compared to the prices of hotel rooms around Mandalika”.
