National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, in collaboration with Bank Mandiri, will host the Garuda Indonesia Travel Festival (GATF) 2024 from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, to support the government’s initiative to enhance public accessibility to air travel services, particularly during the upcoming Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru) holiday season, according to reporting from Tempo.

Garuda Indonesia’s President Director, Wamildan Tsani, announced that the airline will offer at least 500,000 airline seats at special prices for travel periods until the end of 2025. He said his side is coordinating with various stakeholders to bring this program to fruition.

“We hope to provide the public with a wider range of options for their travel plans during the Christmas and New Year period,” Wamildan said in an official statement received by Tempo on Thursday (21/11/24.)

He said that exclusive discounted ticket offers are also available for flights operated by several partner airlines, including KLM, Air France, ITA Airways, Qatar Airways, Qantas, and Bangkok Airways. Other benefits include GarudaMiles redemptions starting from 250 miles, up to a 100 percent bonus on miles purchases, and up to a 30 percent discount on miles redemptions with partner airlines (SkyTeam).

During GATF 2024, Garuda is also offering special promotions on its Garuda Priority Service and executive lounge access, with a buy-two-get-one-free deal. Additionally, customers can avail of prepaid baggage up to 40 kg, up to a 50 percent discount at GarudaShop, and a 10 percent discount on roaming packages, says Tempo.
