The website of The President Of The Republic Of Indonesia is reporting on the launch of a digital platform based on social interaction in a virtual world called “Jagat Nusantara.” The launch event was held at The Ballroom Djakarta Theater, Jakarta, on Friday, October 28, 2022.
“By saying bismillahirahmanirrahim, this afternoon I officially launch Jagat Nusantara,” said President Jokowi.
After that, the screen displayed the avatar version of President Jokowi who then invited the participants to enter the digital version of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN.) In the video, President Jokowi also invited the younger generation to unite, coinciding with the Youth Pledge Day.
“The young generation must unite to build the nation’s future, both in the real economy and in the digital economy. Well, this is one of them. Come follow me. Our future starts here. Welcome to the Capital of the Archipelago. Here we will gather, be creative, socialize with our brothers and sisters,” the President said in the video.
According to President Jokowi, Jagat Nusantara will also be an opportunity and opportunity to share knowledge and meet great people from all over Indonesia and even in the world. In addition, it also provides an opportunity to introduce Indonesian pride products globally.
“Indonesian artists can also be creative and enjoy the results such as music concerts. We can also exercise, it will be an exciting experience together. Come on, the young generation, let’s build the Capital of the Archipelago together through innovation and creativity,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jagat’s Founding Chairman, Wishnutama Kusubandio, in his report said that in today’s life which is dominated by technology and digitalization, young people must be ready to compete and seize opportunities quickly and accurately. Therefore, through Jagat Nusantara, his party seeks to create competition through creativity and innovation.
“A web and mobile-based immersive social platform that connects users to the virtual world. We can say that this is the next generation of social media, the result of the hard work and collaboration of our young people,” he said.
Also attending the event were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo, and Head of the Indonesian Capital Authority Agency Bambang Susantono.
