Paiketan Krama Istri (Pakis) Bali held a Social Action in the form of handing over basic food assistance such as rice, eggs, cooking oil and milk to the elderly, disabled, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and krama yowana. The action, which was wrapped with the theme of Tresna and Punia Bali, was held at the wantilan Sura Yudha Tugu Pahlawan Penglipuran, Bangli, Tuesday (21/6/2022).
Representing Manggala Utama Bali Mrs. Putri Suastini Koster, Manggala (Daily Chairperson; ed) Bali TIA Kusuma Wardhani in her speech introduced the formation of Bali Fern as an implementation of Bali Provincial Bylaw Number 4 of 2019 concerning Traditional Villages in Bali. Which, in article 43 of the Bylaw, it is stated that Traditional Villages have customary institutions consisting of Paiketan Pamangku, Paiketan Serati, Paiketan Wredha, Pacalang, Yowana Desa Adat, Paiketan Krama Istri (PAKIS) Desa Adat, Pasraman, and Sekaa and other Customary Institutions.
“Before there was a Regional Regulation No. 4, the traditional village wife krama did not have a container, now with this policy, the Governor of Bali has thought of a forum for the krama of the customary village wife to have an official organization like the organization of the official village mothers shaded by the PKK,” said TIA Kusuma Wardhani.
According to him, the membership of the Balinese Fern itself is the krama of the traditional village wives in each traditional village, which is led by Manggala, namely the wife of the traditional kelians. Carry out activities to support the activities of Indigenous Villages and efforts to empower family welfare, as well as support efforts to care for, maintain and maintain local wisdom which is the heritage of the ancestors in terms of Balinese art, culture, customs and traditions.
“The two main activities of Balinese Fern are socialization and social action. Socialization is an activity to support various government programs through providing education and understanding, especially about art, culture, religion, customs and traditions as well as various other social problems, through seminars, the formation of social media as well as the preparation of books and magazines. As for social action, yes the activities that we are directing at the moment. As a form of concern for the community, especially in facing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said the retired Head of the Bali Provincial Education Office.
The same thing was also conveyed by the Head of the Office for the Promotion of Indigenous Peoples of Bali Province, IGAK Kartika Jaya Seputra, who conveyed the social action as a form of bhakti and the government’s attention to the community, especially those who are elderly, special needs, breastfeeding mothers, pregnant women and people in need.
Furthermore, IGAK Head kartika Jaya Seputra invited all participants of the event to support the programs of the Bali Provincial Government with the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali through the Pattern of Universe Development Planning Towards a New Era Bali, especially supporting efforts to preserve Balinese art, customs, traditions and culture.
“Bali does not have Natural Resources, only human resources which include Balinese art, culture, customs and traditions, so it should be maintained. We are obliged to care for, protect, maintain and preserve it, rebuilt, reexamined when there are still forgotten ancient traditions. Because without all that, maybe there will be no guests who want to visit Bali,” he said.
The Head of PMA further also invited the Penglipuran community to continue to maintain waste handling and processing. Where Penglipuran Village has been designated as one of the Best and Cleanest villages at the world level, can still maintain the embedded title, so that it becomes an example for other villages in Bali.
